The Middle Creek High School Mock Printz Book Club is
a group of high school students in Apex, NC, who discuss books published
during the current year. Patterning ourselves after the
American Library Association Printz Committee, we select those titles
that we consider to be of literary excellence for ages 12-18.
During the same weekend that the ALA Printz Committee chooses their
winners, we choose a title for our Mock Printz Award and up to four
Mock Printz Honor titles. The official ALA Printz Award will be
announced on Monday, January 23, 2006. The MCHS Printz Book Club
was formed in August 2002, when Middle Creek High School opened. The
club continues to grow with students who love to read and discuss YA
books. |
