most popular electives at Middle Creek.
Some of our accomplishments
include:

We received high ratings
at State Choral Competition. On March 2nd, 2009.

Check out our website at http://middlecreekhs@wcpss.net. Click on “Arts” then on “Choir.”
All experience levels are
welcome! Even if you’ve never sung in a
group before or haven’t sung since elementary school, you can still enjoy
participating in a high school choir.
§
Many successful people
in our world cite music as a memorable high school experience and good
opportunity for personality & character development.
§
Being a team member of
the choir help you develop SELF-ESTEEM, SELF-CONFIDENCE, LEADERSHIP, and SELF-EXPRESSION.
§
The Arts are also a
great “Resume Builder” for those of
you who are college bound or who will enter the work force after graduation.
There are many students who
carry a heavy academic load and still participate in Chorus. It can be done easily. The BLOCK schedule is good for
this because you have so many elective slots spread out over the course of your
high school career. You can sing and
still explore all your other interests.
Middle School Tryouts for the
2009-2010 choirs will be held at Middle Creek High in the chorus room on:
§
March 23rd, 24th, 25th,
26th, and 27th after school from 2:30-4:00 PM.
§
I will be happy to
accommodate additional tryout times if the above dates don’t work. Call or email to schedule a time.
§
Contact Information: Mgilliam@wcpss.net or call 773-3889.
You do not need to prepare
any music in advance for this tryout.
All you need to do is show up. Hope to see you at the tryouts and in
choir next year.
Sincerely,
Mike Gilliam
