To all students and faculty: The annual toy drive sponsored by the National Honor Society begins on Monday, November 30 and runs through December 11. You may bring your new, unwrapped toys to the commons and put them into the collection boxes before school each morning. This a competition between the freshmen, sophomore, junior, and senior classes with the winning class receiving $100.00 to add to its account for activities. So, bring those toys and help many needy children have a great Christmas.

To all past and present MCHS Newspaper staff members! The MCHS newspaper club is for you. This club is devoted to creating a “Senior Issue,” for distribution in May. We need your help in creating this final 2009-2010 issue. The first meeting will be on November 30th at 3:35 in Mr. Rosser’s room 314.

The MCHS Financial Aid Workshop will be December 2 at 7:00 in the auditorium. The workshop will provide valuable information for seniors and their parents regarding college resources. While this event is primarily for seniors, all grade level parents and students are encouraged to attend.

The Music Interest Club (MIC) will meet today from 2:30-3:30 in room 426. Bring your instruments.

The Key Club is holding a canned food drive for the Eastern and Central Food Bank of North Carolina to benefit families in need this holiday season. If you would like to donate any canned food items please do so by stopping by the Guidance Office before first block. A Key Club representative will be present to collect your generous donation.

Attention Seniors! As part of college application week we are offering help with college applications. If you would like to schedule an apointment to help with applying to a college OR if you would like to meet with Debbie Love our Wake Tech representative. Please sign up in student services.

Juniors please see Ms. Titus in 3204 or Mr. Warren in 3322 to pay your junior obligations. Junior obligations cover your prom ticket for both Junior and Senior year. As an incentive to pay early junior obligations are only $30 if you pay before December 16, 2009. After December 16, 2009 the juniorobligation will return to $40. So pay your obligation early and save money!

Senior dues of $30.00 are due to Mrs. Ehinger or Mrs. Hinz in rooms 3314 or 2222 by Dec. 18. Senior dues must be paid to walk at graduation and to attend Sr. events. Please pay them as soon as possible. Checks should be made out to MCHS.
