Middle Creek is proud to the academic tradition that the faculty, staff, and most especially the students have created. Our goal is to facilitate an academic program that both challenges students and allows them to maximize both success and pride in accomplishments.

Information on individual academic departments can be found by clicking on the department name to the left.

Grading System & GPA

Students are graded on an A-F scale. The ranges are as follows:

A 93 - 100
B 85 - 92
C 77 - 84
D 70 - 76
F <70

Grade Point Average (or GPA) is essentially an overall, cumulative view of how a student has performed academically during their high school years. To figure out your GPA, you need to know two things: (1) what grade you made, and (2) the level of the class. By level, we mean Academic, Honors, or AP.

Students can calculate their unweighted GPA using the following scale: A = 4 points; B = 3 points; C = 2 points; D = 1 point; F = 0 points.

Students can calculate their weighted GPA using the following scales:

Class Rank

The student transcript reports both the weighted and unweighted cumulative grade point average. Class rank is based on the weighted cumulative grade point average. The total number of quality points earned in all courses taken is divided by the number of credits attempted.
